every website says to pack snacks to take to L&D for mommy's after birth and our coach ... yet none of them give any suggestions. Anyone packing snacks? If so what are you taking
I packed those peanut butter and cheese crackers that come in snack packs, granola bars, and lollipops (which I was told are OK for me while laboring as well as DH).
i never did with my first but this time I may. probably like granola bars, cheese its, fruit snacks for my when my son comes...whatever looks good in the store.
I don't know yet. Our hospital has a little fridge for us to put stuff in though so we'll probably throw some sparkling water in there.
I was happy to hear that we don't have to eat hospital food- my family is allowed to bring in whatever I want to eat/drink (except alcohol). I asked DH to bring me sushi!!
Some that I recommend for clients are things like string cheese, yogurt, instant oatmeal, fruit (fresh and dried), nuts, peanut butter sandwich, etc. Try for things that have a good amount of protien that can be prepared and eaten quickly. Hope that helps!
I got a couple things at the grocery store yesterday. Chez its, granola bars, gummy bears and reeses. I want to bring a little bit of fruit too grapes maybe dried apples.
the only thing we took were sour gummy lifesavers and those were more for sucking on etc. otherwise our hospital allows you to order meals for labor coach and self which i did right through labor!
