D&C question...

in Miscarriage/Pregnancy Loss

I had my D&C last thursday and i bled thursday nothing on friday started again on sat afternoon and the blood had been brown ever since sat. but as of last night i started passing multiple clots. example... when i pee...thats pretty much all there is is clots in the toilet. but i put on a fresh pad last night and there was some blood on it this morning but nothing to be concerned about at all, but its just when i pee and wipe that these loads of clots come out. this is my first time posting and im sorry if this is graphic but its just scary.

    i meant to ask at the end...is this normal, have any of you gone through this??

    I had some clots, but not as many as it seems you are describing. I'd give your doctor a ring.

    I had a D&E which is slightly different, but I haven't really had any clots. I'd call the doctor to be on the safe side.

    I had my D&C (vacuum procedure) last Thursday as well. I had stopped bleeding from Friday afternoon until Sunday afternoon.  I started bleeding again on Sunday afternoon, dark brown and a few clots (only when I wipe).  I haven't needed anything more than a liner since Sunday. 

     I have been having strong cramping type pains in my lower abdomen that don't seem to be going away.  It's pretty uncomfortable but my Dr isn't too concerned since I don't have a fever or bright red blood.  Anyone else experiencing the same?

    I think some sort of bleeding/spotting is ok for the first two weeks after, but give your Dr a ring, you can talk to the nurse and she can tell you if there is something you need to worry about.

    I had really strong cramping a few days after my d&e but no bleeding. Lasted about two days and then my abdomen felt sore for a few days. I think this is normal for some ladies after the procedure. 

    Started TTC - 01/2009 1st BFP - 09/04/09,1st u/s - 10/06/09- no heartbeat seen, D&E - 10/13/09 BFP #2 - 2/12/10, m/c 2/17/10 BFP #3 - 01/03/11 m/c 01/10/11 BFP #4 - 02/21/11 DS born 10/13/2011 Baby Birthday Ticker Ticker
