Babies: 9 - 12 Months

Ok - this is getting old....seriously

Who cares how old you are/were when you had LO(s), how many houses you do/don't own, how much debt you do/don't have, or if you're married/engaged/straight/bi/tri/whatev

Only thing that matters is that you're a happy, healthy, and good mother.

  • ITA- I was in an odd venting mood. That's my reasoning. I know no one cares about my finances or living situation, but people seem surprised when I say how old I am.

  • I agree!!! I'm 23 but I never had the need to go out and get drunk every weekend like others my age. When I was in college and in the dorms I still stayed in most nights and hung out and did HW. Lame yes but thats me. I've always felt more mature than the majority of people I know. :)

  • I know I am completely out of this conversation, but I will say there was a significant difference between when I had DS and DD.

DD was soooo much easier because I was so much more prepared/'ready'.

I also completley agree with to each their own!

And I think it's a bunch of $hit that people always ASSume that the people on the internets that have good points about things are middle aged. They prove this by saying "oh, I thought you were older". Really - only middle-aged/older (whatever # that may be) have wisdom? Ugh. Really, can we move on? I have very important things that need answering! LOL

Perhaps it also had something to do with the fact that it was your second child? Just a thought...

Absolutely!! But I also think about the age difference, financial situations, etc. as well, and I truly think that also made a huge difference. I was still admittedly very immature at 23. ;)

Lol, I don't know if I should agree or Surprise  I got that in my other post, the "I thought you were older". Makes me smile. I have a 28 year old friend and she always says "oh you're so young, you have no clue yet" and her DD is the same age as my DS.

No Surprise....it's just an observation, here on the bump and IRL. I would get that a lot from people that I just met "oh, I thought you were a lot older, you seem wise for your age" or maybe it's because I wasn't really going out and puking on the street at 2am like the majority of people my age (at the time). It's just annoying...like you don't know $hit if you're young. Whateve!

Ah, ok, yeah it bugs the crap out of me. My friends call me old because I'm "settled down" and never partied. I've been called old since I was 16 because of that crap.
