Are you decorating for the holidays?

When is your tree going up?

I am putting mine up this weekend and am excited. Over the last couple years I've bought ornament at Anthropologie on sale after christmas. This year I'll finally have a near-fully decorated tree.

    I am part-elf

    The real tree at our house will go up as soon as we can get to it...maybe Sunday, maybe sometime next week.  I also have a cute little tree w/ a bear hugging it that's about 4' tall, and I'll get that set up and decorated on Sunday I'm sure.  I really need a third tree at my house b/c of all the ornaments I have, and I refuse not to use every one every year.  Maybe I can convince the man that we need one in our bedroom.....

    The tree at the house we'll actually spend Christmas at will go up on Friday, since we'll still be there from Thanksgiving.

    I can't decide when I will put it up.   Or where.  This weekend we will be OOT, next weekend we will probably be OOT again, and I don't think I would have the energy to put it up in the evenings.  It is one of those old fake ones that you have to put together branch by branch.  Really a PITA but it was free, so...

    yup, we're decorating. I put up wreaths, mainly b/c I just bought two new ones and didn't want to lug them to the basement so I just hung them up. DH may put up the outside lights this weekend. Then I imagine we'll put up our tree the first w/e in December.

    And for the first time since I moved out of my parents house (1993), I will be sleeping in my own bed on Christmas Eve. I'm so freakin' excited about this!!!

    We are decorating this weekend.

    The tree is going up sometime after the weekend or Friday before we host our friend Christmas party the 5th. We get a real tree so I want to wait a little to get it.

    Um is it bad that I completely forgot about decorations? For some reason Christmas still feels far away to me. We usually do the tree the weekend after thanksgiving and it didn't occur to me! oooopppss!!!

    We put up all our decorations Friday!  But we don't get our tree until mid December?  We get a real one and I like to leave it up till just after the New Year.  One of my favorite decorations--a snowy village I set up on our coffee table  :-)

    I will start decorating on Friday.  We always go out and cut down a tree, so that might have to wait until the weather is a little nicer though.

    TTC #2, Operative hysteroscopy March 2011; IVF #1 long lupron protocol April 2011-cancelled due to poor response; IVF #2 flare protocol May 2011=hospitalization due to abdominal hemorrhage during ER and no fert due to MFI issues. Moving onto international adoption from Moldova January 2013!

    The Christmas totes come out of the attic Thursday night after Chase goes to bed.. we will start decorating that evening and hopefully get the tree Saturday.

    Yes!

    Hubby designated the first Saturday of December our official decorating day, so we'll be going up and cutting down our tree on the 5th.  While the tree rests in the stand, we'll be decorating the rest of the house, baking some cookies, making spiked cider or hot buttered rum, addressing Christmas Cards and watching a movie to start the season.  Then we'll decorate the tree.  I am so excited.
