Baby Names

Middle names for Marissa?

This is premature since I can't TTC again for 2 months but anyway..

I love the name Isabella Kate, but DH does not like Isabella. So, we have picked Marissa for a girl's name. We want a shorter middle name.

Does Marissa Kate sound ok? Another choice was Mae (after my g gma) but DH thinks it sounds too country....

DD #1's middle name is Jane so that is out.

Thoughts?

Re: Middle names for Marissa?

  • Not Mae.  Marissa Mae doesn't sound great together.  Marissa Kate sounds fine.

  • My mom has Mae as a middle name and so did my grandma who just passed away. My baby girl is due in May so we're using Mae as a middle name and are trying to find a M name for a first name. I don't think it sounds country. I like itSmile

  • I have a friend who is Marissa Christine.  Not sure why but we all called her Marissa May/Mae.  I love the mn Kate, but I don't care for it with Marissa.  Marissa Leigh sounds pretty, I think.

Kate is after my great-great-great grandmother. So, that is why we picked that.

Ann is my mom's middle name, and I do like Claire, so we may add those to our list.
