I need a good pumpkin cookie recipe please!

I'm headed to the store in a bit to get everything I need. This will be my first attempt at making them so I want to knock everyone's socks off.

  • I like cooks.com recipe (its #4 on the list) old fashioned soft pumpkin cookies,  I recommend chilling the dough between baking so its easier to work with, GL w/choosing

    PS DH wont take em to share at work b/c he likes them to much, and I had to sneak some up to my parents just so he wouldnt know, DD loves them too.

    The Great Pumpkin Cookie Recipe

     

     

    Ingredients:

    2 cups flour

    1 cup quick oatmeal

    1 teaspoon baking powder

    1 teaspoon cinnamon

    ? teaspoon salt

    1 cup butter softened (2 sticks)

    1 cup brown sugar

    1 cup sugar

    1 egg slightly beaten

    1 teaspoon vanilla

    1 cup canned pumpkin pie filling

    1 ?  white chocolate, and butterscotch chips

     

    Directions:

    Preheat oven to 350 degrees

    Combine flour, oats, baking powder, cinnamon and salt.  Cream butter, gradually adding sugars beating until light and fluffy.  Add egg and vanilla, mix well.  Add pumpkin, mixing well.  Stir in morsels.  For each cookie, use ? measuring cup to drop dough onto slightly greased cookie sheet.  Bake 25 minutes and cool.  Makes 20 cookies.
