Just wanted to say hi and take a minute to introduce myself. I have been lurking here sine July. I have posted occasionally on GP, but always come back to this board.
I am 35 and DH is 40, we just got married in June. We knew we were going to jump on the TTC train right away so I started charting in January and have read TCOYF. This is our 6th cycle of actively TTC.
Talked to my Dr. right after the wedding and she told me to continue to chart & use OPKs and if nothing in 3 or 4 cycles she would start running tests if we wanted. We discussed that I have a short LP (8-10 days) so she did not feel there was any reason to wait to test if nothing happened right away.
We will be OOP for everything so we are going to take the tests one at a time and hope to get pregnant in the meantime. DH is going for an SA next week and I am going in for bloodwork 7 dpo to check my progesterone and thyroid.
Looking forward to getting to know everyone!
Re: Another intro this evening...
Hi!
I had a short luteal phase also (around 8-10 days), that probably affected my decision to go with Clomid & injectibles with our first IUI (as opposed to an unmedicated IUI). ?
Welcome to a wonderful board!
Good luck on your journey...I hope your stay here is short.
Welcome! I hope it's a "simple fix", as they say. Hopefully your b/w will indicate something that meds can fix - progesterone deficiency, especially.
GL to you both and congrats on your recent wedding!
PS - I'm 35, DH is 49.
Hi and welcome!
I took a look at your charts, looks like for sure you are ovulating, just that shortened LP and even then 10 days is acceptable. I know you have plans to do some testing in the future; however I'll recommend vitamin b6 as an idea, it can lengthen LP and might be good to start taking now along with your PNV.
Again welcome, and GL!
