  This is pretty much the first time I've been grateful to not have a drop-side crib. I'm so short that it would come in really handy, but I would hate to deal with the recall.

  I can't even look at the pic with the doll example.  I can't imagine what the families are going through.  Sucks b/c that type of crib was so popular.  Makes me nervous on what popular item now is really "dangerous" and we don't know it, yet.

  Drop side cribs have been used safely for years.  This particular crib had a problem with its mechanism.

  This.  I have to have a drop side crib because I have "t-rex" arms (that's what my DH calls them).
