How did your parents come up with your name?
My mom was reading the book "Ballerina" and it Stephanie was one character and Christine (my middle name) was another.

If i was a boy my name was sealed. so if i came out a girl they wanted a name that no one in my family had. so both my first and middle names are totally random
if i had been a boy i would have been 4th generation robert. but my little brother got that one. lol.
From a song by a very notable country western singer. It was one of many names on a list and when I was born, my dad said, "Oh, she's definitely a ----".
ETA: My middle name is a random name that they liked and thought went with my 1st name.
My first name is after my dad's grandma, who he was very close to but died shortly before i was born. and my middle name is a family name, it is my grandma's and my mom's middle name, and will be daughter's middle name as well.
We are trying to give our kids names with family meaning behind them as well, because i have always really loved the fact that i am named after people who made a difference in my parent's lives

My middle name was a spinoff of my aunt's first name.
Mine were ever so original. My first name is the female version of my dads name, middle name is my mothers first name.
Also, Steph, we have the same names. Random!

They almost named me Jessica Elaine because my maiden name started with an S so my initials would have been JES but when they met me mom didn't think I looked like a Jessica

I was named after my grandmother.
My 6 older siblings all have names that start with the letter K and was 4 letters long. Kate was probably just the next one they could think of.
My middle name was after my grandmother's middle name
My mom had 6 mc's (including twins she carried until 5 mos) before me and told my dr that if I made it, I would be named after him. So, my first name is his name with an "i" at the end. My middle name is after my aunt and great grandmother. FWIW, my dad wanted to name me after my mom, which would have been Thelmia (which she has NEVER gone by..). So glad that didnt happen.

My first name doesn't have any special meaning behind it, parents just liked it. My middle name is my dads middle name.
I was born right around the time Sally Ride went to space. My dad is a huge space/nasa fan. Sally's middle name is Kristen and my dad decided to name me that.
Before that name my mom had 2 names picked out based on my color hair.
If I was born with brown hair she was going to name me Jennifer Lynn and if I had blonde hair she was going to name me Amanda Marie. Both out the window and i'm not Kristen Nicole

My first name is my great grandma's maiden name--- it also was the name that Robert Wagner and Natalie Wood named their daughter a few months before I was born. Oh and my dad wanted a name that starts with "C" so it fit.
My middle name is my mom's middle name, my grandparents heard it on the radio.
We will be using family names if/when we have a child.

My story is similar - I was supposed to be Meghan until the day I was born, but then my parents thought it was too popular. So they named me Jessica instead. Because the number 2 name is so much less popular than the number 22 name!
My first name came from a woman that spoke at a seminar that my dad attended a few weeks before I was born. My middle name is my maternal grandmother's first name.

my Mother's 1st child was a full term stillborn baby - her name was Kelly.
my brother came next, and then there was me. They wanted something Irish, and something close to Kelly, but obviously not Kelly. So they named me Kerry
