My baby girl is 9 months old. When she was 6 weeks, we watched Dr, Harvey's The Happiest Baby on the Block. Since then, we've been swaddling her at night & she does great. She just started trying to break free in the mornings when she wakes up. We've tried the last two night to put her down for bed without swaddling and it's been a nightmare. We end up swaddling her.
Just checking to see if anyone else still swadlles their baby & if anyone stopped recently, how was it? TIA!
Re: Those who swaddle
We stopped swaddling DD at about 4-5 months old because she would start to flip over and/or bust out of the Miracle Blanket.
It was a rough week or two at first until she figured out sleeping without the swaddle.
We use sleep sacks now instead.
Good luck!
we swaddle with one arm out cause he gets aggravated at night if he rolls over and can't get his arm out to roll back. We use the blanket that has the velcro, DS stays in it very well and just sleeps so much better.
I think for night time after the holidays, I'm going to start to take the other arm out and see what happens..eventually we'll stop the swaddle and just do sleep sacks through the winter.
He's not a great napper and needs to be all cozy for those so I will de-swaddle that last.
