F/U to home sick. Doc says:

I have the swine.

Seriously?! He said all my symptoms sounded like the flu, so he did a culture (icky and uncomfortable, btw) and called me when it came back positive for the H1N1.

So I filled a Tamiflu script, plus one for DH. I've been writing a lot of stories about the swine flu, and I kept making fun of the hysteria around what is basically just a new flu. Figures I get it!

I'm out of work til Monday, but I may go back on Friday. Doc said I should start feeling better Wednesday, and they usually say two days after the last day of a fever.

Now I have to figure out how to get some turkey to my house for Thanksgiving! DH said he's feeling a little run down today, so he doesn't want to chance going around people himself. Ugh.

    Oh no!  Feel better soon.  I know there are a few grocery stores that now deliver.  I hope you get your turkey.

    Take it easy! My SIL has diagnosed Nov 7th and is still suffering from symptoms! Hope you feel real better & soon!

    10/2009 - TTC#1 Stopped BCP! Let's DO this!
    1/2010 - BFP (Natural) --> 10/2010 - DS born! Yay!
    12/2010 - DH diagnosed with stage 3B testicular cancer. #cancersucks
    10/2011 - Complications with DH and lymph nodes in groin area removed. No longer able to ejaculate.
    1/2014 - TTC#2 - IUI#1. No luck. Findings: DH sperm did not survive freeze. RE recommends IVF with ICSI.
    3/2014 - IVF Cycle #1 Started BCP
    4/2014 - Lupron, Gonal-F, and Menopur
    5/7/2014 - ER day (25 eggs retrieved, 15 mature)
    5/10/2014 - 6 fertilized, 3 embryos frozen - one grade A and two Grade B. Plan was to grow out to blastocyst stage but rest of eggs arrested by day 3. Decided to freeze on day 3.
    2/9/2016 - FET #1 with Grade A (8 cell - 3 day embryo); 2/20 - Beta was <5. BFN.  :/ Waiting for period and start next FET.
    7/8/2016 - FET #2 with Grade B (8 cell - 3 day embryo), fingers crossed this one sticks. :)
    7/19 - Beta was 74. BFP!!!!; 7/21 - Beta was 182; 1st U/S on 8/2; 2nd U/S on 8/16 :)

    Think it would be OK to go shopping Friday but not go to work?! My office will be slow and I won't really have much to do, but if my boss finds out I went shopping and not work she probably won't be happy. And I've been talking about Black Friday shopping all month!

    Ah yes, the swine is evil.  I really hope the Tamiflu works for you.  It did nothing for me and DH symptoms just laughed at it.

    Believe me, I definitely wouldn't be going out if I was still sick -- I can't stand that. When I was filling my script just now, there was a woman hacking into her hand in front of me then putting her germy hands all over everything. This is all assuming I'm better.

    I just figure my doc said I'd be OK two days after the last day with a fever, so if that happens to be Friday then maybe I'll shop and milk the swine just to get out of work. I just don't want to work this week, especially not Friday when no one else will be there.

    I agree! That is how this gets spread around so quickly. Don't go out. Stay home. Get rest.
