Our LO is in a side sleeper in our room for now. I am thinking I'd like to transition him to his crib soon, but something in my just isn't ready. And the silly thing is, is his bedroom is right across the hall. It is literally 10 steps away. We wouldn't even need a monitor, but of course I have a video one. Why I am not ready to move him is beyond me. He makes so many little baby noises now, that it is hard to sleep with him right next too me. DH is doing his best to talk me into it. I think the first night in his crib will be the hardest. Where does your baby sleep?
Baby #1: 19 cycles, failed IUI, and 1 + IVF 3-5-07
Baby #2: 12 cycles, 1 failed FET, natural miracle but m/c at 9 weeks then another natural miracle that stuck! 9-30-09
TTC #3 - 4 cycles - no BFP yet!
Re: Where does your baby sleep at night?
in our bed, between us, usually tucked in between my arm and body.
do whatever makes YOU happy. a happy momma = a happy baby.
We moved him from the bassinet to the crib at 3 weeks for this exact reason!! Neither of us could sleep with all his noises!! He is right across the hall & both of our doors are open so I can hear him still when he fusses, it's just not right next to my head!!
Still, he usually sleeps atleast one of his stretches at night either on the couch with me, in the bed, or in his swing. I give up after trying to rock him to sleep after about 10 minutes and resort to whichever of those things work best!
I am so with you!!! He sleeps in the pack and play in our room and I'm not ready to move him either.
She starts the night in the bassinet next to us and ends the night tucked up into DH's armpit.
DD either sleeps in her pack n' play next to our bed or in my arms. DS slept in his pack n' play all the time until he was older. We're in the same set-up as you... DD's room is literally right across the hall.
Our issue is that she spits up small amounts and always seems to "choke" on it. It freaks me out, so she won't be by herself in her crib anytime soon.
In his bassinet or PnP, depending what floor of the house he is on.
We are not putting him in his own room until he is 6 months old. Public Health recommends they sleep with a parent until then.
In her carseat next to the bed. We cosleep sometimes but if she's OK in the carseat I leave her.
EDIT: We have a bassinet in our room but she won't sleep in it & we also have a crib in her room. Pedi suggested we put her in the carseat because of her reflux.
lol I didn't want to maek it sound like the child didn't have a place to sleep!

He sleeps in his crib about 15 steps from our bedroom. We have a video monitor so I'm always watching him. At about 3 weeks, he decided he didn't like his crib so he slept in the PNP for a few nights then he was fine in his crib again.
Who knows what his little issue was?!
In our bed. I won't try to transition to the crib until he sttn for a week. I might transition him to the bassinet before that though. I like him right next to me though!
