Is anyone have a hard time transitioning LO to sippy cups?

With Teagan, it was a breeze.  I literally gave her a nuby soft spouted sippy cup one day and she did just fine.  She never went back to bottles.  Kelsey is a lot more stubborn about it.  I have tried so many kinds and she refuses them.  What can I do to get her transitioned?  Tough love and say no more bottles and when she gets hungry enough she will drink from the sippy??  Or do I just give up and keep using bottles?  Help please! TIA!

  • I say keep doing bottles.  She's still young.

  • I am in the same boat!! Very anxious to see what people who have been through this may recommend...
  • A is having a hard time with the sippy cup.  She doesn't understand that she doesn't have to suck to get liquid to come out.  We're taking it slow with her and trying different types of sippy cup.

  • Have you tried a straw cup?  Lillian does NOT like sippies but she loves a straw cup.

  • Which one do you use? Shane hates the avent, dr. brown and circo, but loves the nuby. He's not realy sure how to drink out of it yet, but he chews on the spout a lot.

no, but I will get one and try it.  I will try anything at this point!

  • DS hates the sippy.  We have 4 different kinds, including straw and soft spout Nuby.  He doesn't know how to use anything but the Nuby one, and he makes a face when he gets anything out and refuses to use it.  He just chews on the handles.  He seems to know what to do with a normal cup but I'm afraid of the mess!  I don't know what to do :-(
  • My LO will only use a really really soft spouted sippy, but he does really well with the Munchkin straw cup.  Other straw cups are too hard for him to bite past the "non-spill" thing.  Also, he does fine with those disposable sippy cups, but they make a mess cuz they're not non-spill.
