High-Risk Pregnancy

H is amazing (a thanksgiving week gush)

I spent the weekend bossing H around trying to get everything ready for when Dillon comes home in just over 2 weeks (Eeek)! I had a long list of "to dos" that I never thought would get actually done. But H was amazing this weekend.

My nursery is finally organized (as much as H is unorganized), clothes are washed and hung, stroller is together and car seat bases are in - he has to get them inspected, but they are in.

He went to BRU and returned some duplicate gifts and came home with "Christmas gifts" for Dillon, rattles and teethers, and an elephant that plays music when you squeeze his trunk (so cute)! I can picture H in BRU playing with each item and picking out the perfect toys, something I wish I could have been there to see (and play) too!!

I think tthe hardest part of bed rest for me was letting go of how I imagined the nursery to be set up. Granted once this is over, I can reorganize everything to have it where I think it should go. At the same time, had I been mobile, I would have never known how much of an amazing daddy my H will be. I am usually pretty independent and when I want things done, I do it myself.

He has been amazing through all of this. For now 8 weeks doing everything and not batting an eye! When I was placed on bed rest I was worried about how H would handle it. Silly me!!!

A lot of years and a million tears finally led me to you.
After 7 years trying to concieve, 3 failed IUIs and 2 failed IVFs, my third IVF was a success!
My Christmas baby turned into a turkey bird! Dillon Richard was born at 34 weeks, 5 days on November 28, 2009 after 10 weeks on bedrest for preeclampsia.
