AW: heard the heartbeat and big u/s scheduled!

the doppler we had was the crackly-est thing on the planet and i totally didn't think we'd be able to hear a thing but she finally got a good spot and it was loud and clear!!! yay little woosh woosh! :-D
and big u/s scheduled for 12/21! midwife was compleeeeetely dismissive of my comment that the NT tech made a guess at gender which kinda irked me since the tech sees more babies in a day than the midwife sees on u/s in a week i'm sure since that's not what she does, but she was probably just trying to keep us from being to set on what the tech said or something (i hope). but i'm excited because i wanted the big u/s scheduled before xmas so we could give everyone a confirmed gender for xmas.. :-D
oh and not a single mention of the piggy flu vax at all which i was happy about - ANNNND after this weekend's horrible belly episode (again) i'm actually only up TWO pounds. i was 2 pounds heavier at friday's NT scan! i KNEW that was a lot of poo! lol.
now i'm headed to work - just wanted to share with you ladies! yay baby!! :-D

iiii know!! but dh was like 'i thought the u/s was much more exciting than hearing it' - and i'm like you dork yeah cuz you get to SEE THE BABY but you don't hear the heart you just see a little flicker there!! lol.. i think he was annoyed by the crazy static the machine had and he thought she should have gotten another one instead of just commenting on how it was the most static-y one.. lol..
i've had a big stupid grin on my face all morning though!

yeah i think so.. we might register for a few things before xmas in case our parents want to buy off it or something but i'm still not sure. i can't wait to find out if the NT tech was right or not! def an awesome xmas present! :-D
