Parenting after 35

feel horrible

I had about 2 oz. of Enfamil Restful left in a can. I mixed that with 2 oz. of the Gentle formula. Not sure why I thought it was OK. I fed her and then she lay down & wanted the boobie. So I fed her a little more. Then all of a sudden she started spitting up. then full blown vomiting. SO much vomit. All over herself, the bedsheets me. God I feel so stupid. Too much mixing. But she didn't cry once. She was actually very calm.

We were actally going to have her sleep in her crib in her own room tonite. Had set up her motion monitor & everything. Thank God she threw up when she was still in bed with us. Who knows if we would have realized what was happening over the monitor. Needless to say, we put that monitor right back in her cradle & she's going to stay with us a little longer.

  • Yikes!  I'm glad everything's okay.  I don't think I would have realized it either...

  • Honestly, I probably would have mixed the formulas as well.  I'm sorry you had a scare and glad everything turned out okay!
    DD1 is 3, DD2 is 1.
  • Awwwww.... I'm sorry. That sounds really scary, but I'm glad she was calm. It's funny what phases them and what doesn't. I don't think I would have been able to put LO in the crib in her room that night either. Maybe tonight is the night. :)

  • Poor Sienna. I'm glad she was with you guys when she was sick.

It breaks my heart when they're sick.

  • DOnt be hard on yourself...I prob would have done the SAME thing.
  • I feel so bad, what a terrible feeling..We all live and learn, give Sienna big hugs from her bumpie mommies!!
  • wow, good thing you realized it before putting her in the crib. i used the Rest Full a couple of times with no problems, but i didn't mix it. maybe that's what made it bad.
