Plugged duct/nipple bleb

Ouchie -- any ladies here dealt with this and have a way to work it out?  I've tried warm compresses, pumping, nursing (of course) and even sticking a sanitized straight pin in (surprisingly I felt nothing).  But alas after every nursing session the bleb is back, or never goes away.  And my boob really hurts.  Any tips?

    The pin always seemed to help with me.  But there was one time it didn't (I get these all the time - so annoying) and exfoliating it with a clean washcloth (don't use a loofah or anything super abrasive - ouch!) in the shower helped.  I didn't use soap - just the washcloth.  It helped keep the skin from growing over the bleb again and reforming itself.

    I get these all the time too...awful.  But don't get discouraged in trying to unplug it.  I sit in a hot, hot  bath with breasts submerged and then massage deeply toward nipple.  Follow that with BFing. Sometimes I'll even pump after that.  Try your best to get the milk moving. Oh yeah, I take a tylenol before the bath so the deep massaging doesn't hurt so bad...it can be awful if you're engorged.  It always helps me. GL!

    i'm going through the same thing for the first time. i ran out of hot water in the shower this morning. i have a bath scheduled for tomorrow to try the washcloth. at least i got a lot of the backed up milk out and now just have nipple pain.
