my family has a set menu for thanks giving and xmas but for the past few years we have tried to try atleast one or two new dishes any one have any ideas. we haev all the standards mac and cheese mashed potatos cranberry sauce stuffing collard greens ect...
Re: what side dishes are you making for thanksgiving
Here's an easy and tasty one...just wait till you as close before dinner as you can.
2 apples, cut into chunks, with the skin.....2 snicker bars cut into chunks...2 containers of cool whip.
Mix together and enjoy!
I'm usually in charge of mashed potatoes. I use an actual recipe for it though -- not just mashing potatoes and adding milk. I like escalloped (scalloped??) corn - that's pretty yummy.
This year we're having Thanksgiving dinner at a hotel buffet thing. DH and his dad are out of town....so we're all doing this instead. Hopefully it has my favorite basics!
