Well, I'm pregnant...

in Babies: 3 - 6 Months

Please give me advice, encouragement, anecdotes, etc.   I'm freaking out, because this was far from planned.  We actually only planned on two children.  I'm happy, nervous, scared, upset, ecstatic all at once......   DH seems completely at peace with the idea and seems happy, but then again, he didn't just push a baby out 4 months ago:)

    Congrats!!! I would be terrified as well, good luck with everything. Sorry I don't have any words of advice.

    I've had that pregnant feeling for a week and half.  Both DH and I suspected as much for the past week.  But, we officially found out tonight when I did the whole POAS stick thing.   I guess I'll be making a dr.'s appt. tomorrow:)

    CONGRATS! even though it was not in the 'plan'....babies seem to like being surprises...and some of the best ones we'll ever receive!

    I have no advice, but I want to say congratulations!!  Your kids are lucky to grow up close in age.  They will be life-long buddies.

    I would be freaking out to, but just think of all the joy and happiness your other two children bring you and this third will give you that much more!  My sister had twins the first time and less than 2 years later had another baby.  It was hard, but she made it through and they all did well.  Do you have family and friends around that can help you more once LO comes?

    My Mom lives 2km away and I have lots of friend close by.  My MIL would be happy to stay with us as long as I needed her too, I'm sure:)   I'm lucky I have a lot of support:)

    Congratulations on your pregnancy! I completely understand that you are feeling shocked. It's so hard when a wrench is thrown into our carefully laid plans. I cannot speak from personal experience as I so far only have the one and she was planned. However, there is a poster on here who recently spoke of how her second child (with whom she got pregnant sooner than they planned) has filled a void in her life she didn't know she had. It was so touching to read and it reminded me that children are gifts, even if they come when you least expect.

    My mom had two kids under the age of one at 42 years old.  She also had me (a teenager) and my twenty yr old brother.  She did great....my dad also left the house for a time after the second one was born.  They are very close, and now they are 16 and 17.

    Wow. My initial thought was that the SK fall/winter hasn't been THAT cold yet.. Wink.  But putting the humor aside, congrats.

    Babies are all blessings...planned or unplanned.  Give it some time to sink it. Cry if you feel like it, be excited, allow yourself to be upset, laugh about it, etc.

    Thanks everyone!   I'm sure this will be a wild ride...... I guess I won't be losing that 5 (or 10 - not really that sure) left over pregnancy pounds:)

    My neices are a yr apart and they love each other so much I mean I won't say its always peaceful but most of the time they play so well together and when they are away from each other they are always talking about each other and wonderin what the other is doing! My sister has recently gotten remarried and the guy she married had two daughters as well . 8,7,6,5 I don't know how she does it sometimes but she is a wonderful mother and step mother to all them and its always fun on holidays! I would be a little nervous too but I bet your gonna do a great job So Congrats!

    BabyFruit Ticker TTC #2 since March 2010. 2 LOSSES ... c/p - Dec 2010. Ectopic - March 2011. Me: 35; DH: 34 DX: DOR, egg quality issues ; DH - all normal FSH 10.1, Estradiol 21.8, AMH 0.49 IVF #1 (Oct/Nov 2011) (Antagonist with BCP's)- 5R, 0 eggs to transfer CD3 b/w by same RE 1/2012: FSH 6, AMH 1.4...wtf?? IVF #2 (Apr 2012) EPP/Antagonist with ICSI - 10R, 7M, 6 ICSI'd, 2F. 3DT = BFN AMH tested by new RE 6/2012 - 2! Saving money for IVF #3. Started a ton of supplements in May 2012 and hoping for a miracle! SURPRISE BFP!! (October 2012)

    Oh, and also my DH was the "surprise" 3rd child. He totally completes his family and they wouldn't be the same without him - I'm pretty glad he's around too :)

    Congrats! I would be really nervous & scared too, but it will all be great. My mopm had my 2 sisters & I within 28 months! We had such an awesome childhood & are the best of friends now (my dad left whent he youngest was 18 months and she was alone and did amazing)
