I took a FRER Friday (12 dpo) and there was a
faint line, but you could still easily see it. Took another FRER this
morning (14 dpo) and the line was
the same color...still really light. I am freaking out b/c I thought I
was having a chemical pregnancy. I took a cvs digital hpt 4 hours later
and it was positive. I am calling my ob tomorrow to get a beta. but
shouldn't hpk lines be getting darker??? That has me really really
worried. I'm trying to stay positive-a positive hpk is positive, but I
would like reassurance, I guess!!! Any comments/suggestions would be GREATLY appreciated!!!
Re: HPK lines not getting darker....HELP!!!
They do not always get darker.
A line is a line.
hpts are qualitative, not quantitative, so there is no guarantee that the line will get darker. Put the pee sticks down and call your doctor for some betas.
Congrats!
I freaked out about this as well.
Quit peeing on sticks!! If you must take another one, wait until a few days past your missed period. I found mine started to get darker then.
Good luck and congrats!
My lines on the FRER were always very light. I ended up taking a dollar store test and a digital to confirm. The dollar store test was very dark and the digital came back "pregnant."
A line is a line. Call your OB. Congrats!
The darkness of the line can vary with the amount of dye that's in the test, which is why a line is a line.
Stop taking tests, you're pg!

HPK?
Home Pregnancy.....Kit??
Ok, yeah - the lines don't necessarily get darker. Hell, I got positives at home and negative pee tests at the dr. office! I was still pregnant though.
