anxiety over short rows

i'm reading the pattern for short rows and then went to the link provided for the short rows tutorial and it seems so confusing.. i'm afraid!!  is it more obvious once you get going??

  • I had anxiety too but once you get to them and go step by step then they aren't so bad.  I always feel anxiety when I read something in a pattern that I don't know or if there's a lot of different things to do rather than "Knit even" but once I get to everything and just take it one at a time it's never as bad as I feared.

    This!  And it's not like it isn't reversible if you do mess up.  Just try it!

  • I actually found short rows to be really easy once I got into them. I'm freaking out over the whole gusset, grafting, legs thing right now.

  • i think short rows are really fun/easy too, but i understand worrying about it for sure!!

    even if you aren't using the pattern, itchy fingers has great instructions for the wrapped short row method on the last page of their pattern. and MTOWs video is really helpful too :)
