I thought Zantac was the wonder drug. But then we found out that the prescription was written wrong and we were giving more than 10X the correct dosage. We're on the right dosage now, but LO's reflux is definitely aggravating him today. Fussing, cranky and miserable all day. Now I think the dose might be too low. I feel so bad for him

What rx did your pediatrician give? (the new one)

The new dose is .4mg twice a day. The last time he was weighed was over a week ago and he was 8 lbs. He has been gaining pretty fast so I'd guess at least 8 lb 10 oz by now.

I haven't talked to a doctor, but I've talked to 3 different highly apologetic nurses.

When you get too much of a reflux med it causes discomfort/pain when the dosage is corrected. That's why you can't take multiple types of those meds at the same time. If the new dose is correct your LO should be better soon.

Thanks for the input. I guess we just need to give it time. I hope he feels better soon!
