Buy breast pump now?

Are you buying a breast pump before LO's birth? I was going to wait until I made sure breast feeding would work out, but the pump I'm considering is on sale so I'm tempted to buy it now. It costs about the same as renting a hospital pump for 2 months, so I wouldn't be saving much by waiting. WDYT?

    I want to buy one now.  The price that my hospital charges for 3 months rental is the same price to buy the model I want.  I also want it to use right when I get home without going back out.

    Pro to waiting until after is your doctor can write you a script for a pump from rite aid (there are certain brands) and some insurances cover it.

    I bought one b/c I found it on super mega sale. 

    I actually think it might've been an amazon.com fluke thing, but they honored the price.

    I actually found one on craigslist, brand new and never used.  It's the one I want too, the Medela PISA shoulder bag one for like 175.  They are close to 300 in the store! So I think we are going to get it tomorrow :)

    I bought mine a few weeks ago.  BBB will take it back if the seal is not broken.  I probably could have waited, but just went for it so I won't have to send someone else out later for it.

    buy it but don't open it and save your receipt;  I bought one before DD was born but ended up needing the hospital grade so I returned it w/o a problem

    Yes, I went ahead and bought a new Medela Swing on Ebay.  I was going to buy the PISA, but for $100 cheaper I thought a single electric pump would work just fine for my use.  I wanted to have it right away so I could pump in the beginning if I wanted or needed to.

    I did because I figured I won't want to go out to buy one when I need it plus I had coupons. You have 45 days to return them to BRU as long as the seal on the box isn't broken so I figured if breastfeeding doesn't work out I'll return it.

    I want to buy one before my baby is born, but I'm not in a huge rush to get it. I'm focusing on getting everything else we need for the baby still, and then I'll save the breast pump for last. If I happened to see the one I want for sale, I would be tempted to buy it too!
