When did you start buying stuff for baby?

in 2nd Trimester

We are planning on getting a glider on Black Friday (can't beat 1/2 off!) and if we saw other big stuff on sale super cheap, then I had my bleeding scare, and now I'm almost afraid to jinx myself! 

So when did you first purchase items for baby?  Like nursery stuff or big items, not just an outfit...

    My parents bought the crib at 14 weeks, and we bought a car seat at 19 weeks. That's it for big stuff so far.

    Baby's R Us has their Shermag (sp?) gliders for $150 - 1/2 off the regular price.  They open at 5 (I think), and I'm not sure if it's a "while supplies last" thing or not...

    I found some really good deals early on, so we started buying early :) I got the glider off Craigslist for only $25, can't beat that!

    We have bought a car seat so far that's all.  We should get on that but I have been putting it off because when I start buying I am afraid I won't be able to stop!

    We bought the crib and dresser a few weeks ago, only because it was a good price for us. We aren't planning on buying anything else big until after we move in the end of December so we have less to pack. We might just wait until after our shower as I know certain family members are going to get us big gifts as they have been requesting we register since the moment we found she's a girl! It's going to be difficult to me, I am such a planner and like to have things ready as soon as possible, but then my husband reminds me that most the things I want to buy aren't nessarily "needs" but rather wants to help make taking care of a baby easier. You don't need a stroller but they are veryu helpful, etc....

    We've bought two onsies/sleepers that were on sale/ not something we would have the opportunity to get again, but are waiting until after Christmas to do any major purchases.
    So it goes.

    We will buy our very first thing for baby after our u/s when we find out if it's a boy or a girl. After the u/s, we'll pick a cute outfit for baby.

    Other than that, I won't buy anything until after the baby shower. I only want to buy what's left over.

    We bought the crib, changing table, dresser, bedding, stroller, and carseat.  And tons of clothes.  The rest we are hoping to get for Christmas and shower.

    We've bought a handful of clothes and blankets, and just ordered the crib. We'll probably get the stroller relatively soon, and then buy everything else after my shower based on what we still need. I wanted to wait until 24 weeks (or my v-day) until buying a ton of stuff, though we did buy the crib sooner. I imagine we won't put it together for awhile.

    I started buying things over ten years ago!  :)  I am 35 and pregs with my first so it has been a long time waiting.  Since I have got pregnant I bought my "first" thing last week, Sophia the Giraffe, besides that I am waiting til I know the gender!
