PIP for Lytedark, Soyager, and others who have tiny bumps

Just a comment from the other end of the spectrum.  At least you aren't lugging this around at 26 weeks (excuse the dirty mirror)!

(here I am at 28 weeks last time):

It's soooo not cute.  It's huge and I have no idea how I'll make it to 38 weeks (when DD was born) b/c at that point she was stuffed in there!  Hopefully he can bake just as long or even a little longer!

  • i got to 42 weeks and i resembled a whale that had swallowed a school bus.  it was soooo not cute.  i made DH stop taking belly pics at like 32 weeks or so b/c i felt ugly and hated seeing them.

  • I was one of those with a tiny bump.  When I was 22 weeks, I had barely a bump.  If you didn't know that I was normally a thin person, you might not have known I was pg.  And then at 39 weeks (my last belly pic, since DS was born a few days later), I was GIGANTIC.  The morning my water broke, we went into WalMart on our way to the hospital and one of DH's friends commented this, "Dude, I saw you and your wife at WalMart on Sunday- you were walking right next to her and she was 2 feet out in front of you."

    Surprise   rude!!!

and crackerjack - i still think your bump is cute!  so you look about where you were at 28 weeks last time around..  do they measure at appointments?  are you still in line with the due date or is it just the body that shows faster and not the baby growing faster?

my cool cat - er, bunny!

  • it is too a cute bump!

I will admit that mine, though relatively newly surfaced, is starting to get in the way. I have always had to stand on my toes to reach above the washer to turn off the light, but now when I do it, I tend to poke myself in the tummy on the corner of the washer, and that is not fun.

Bathing the dog today was a little harrowing too, since I do it in the shower (no tub Crying) by standing over him and bending over to do all the soaping & rinsing etc. I am really starting to be able to feel the shift in my weight & center of balance.

FWIW I've been EXACTLY on schedule in terms of measurement at every appointment, both from external measurements and ultrasounds, even though my bump was invisible for half the pregnancy.

  • Yeah, I still think it's cute too!

I work with a woman whose due date is the 24th or something. She was still pushing carts full of teaching supplies around on Friday, had the pregnancy flush, and was lookin' pretty full. BUT still cute :) Big baby belly is beautiful!

It's leftover belly from the first time, I still measure right on.

And poppet- I hate the belly poke!  I'm short and am always hitting it when I reach up.

  • I wish I could find my 40 week picture - I was sure I was going to end up being one of those women you see on the news, "The baby just slipped out into my sweatpants in the Walmart parking lot!" but alas, I went 41w5d!!! LOL

I was HUGE! I'm terrified this time around!
