Two weeks ago, my best friend who is a professional photographer met me, DH, and our furbaby down at the Jersey shore to take a family photo for our annual holiday card. I wanted Sammy (furbaby) to see the beach for the first time so we picked an awesome day (pre-flooding) and ventured there. If I can figure out how the heck to post a picture on here, I'll put it up, because it's super cute!
ANYWAY - DH, furbaby and I all wore our Philadelphia Flyers black-and-orange gear, and my shirt has a little Flyers logo over the belly that says "Future Fan." Obviously this was all done on purpose... however, after looking at the photos she took, you can't really tell that's what my shirt says, so it sorta defeated the purpose.
My question is this - that was going to be my subtle way of sharing our news with anyone who might be on our holiday card list who might not have already heard our news. And don't get me wrong, it's not as if I'm trying to conceal the news at this point, hell, I'm 25 weeks... but I'm also not one to broadcast information about myself or my family too loudly...
Anyone have any clever ideas on how we can incorporate LO into our holiday card without being too cheesy or blatant? I still have friends and family who insist on NOT knowing the baby's gender, so I want to try to be tactful for their sake. Either that, or I just won't bother sending them a card.
Anyway, any advice or thoughts?
Re: To include or not to include LO? (kinda long)
i like the idea of signing it "our future flyers fan." that's a cute way to tie in the pic of you guys. BTW - my mom is in Lansdale and i can see the big limerick smoke stack from her house. so many from SE PA. small world!
Well hello neighbor! Where will you be delivering? I'll be @ Phoenixville
