(vent) DH & TV = annoying!

ok I need a quick vent....I understand DH is tired when he gets home from work. It's time and energy to entertain LO. But he needs it. I entertain all day (well I mean he takes naps and eats also). Honestly I think LO is happy to look at someone other than my face. It annoys the crap out of me when DH doesnt want to entertain and spends the evening trying to "shhh" LO to sleep so he can sit on the couch and watch TV. ARRGGG. Get up and play with the baby, do tummy time with him, give him a bath. He doesn't need to (nor does he want to) go to sleep at 7:00. Not to mention, then he doesnt sleep as long at night. And guess who gets to get up with him! Is watching the TV that important? I think spending time interacting with your child is more important. ok vent over. Thanks for listening.

    Me too.  I think men just aren't sure what to do with a baby since you can't really throw a ball or push them on a swing right now.  We just need to be patient and continue to encourage those activities.

    Vent away.  My DH likes to pop her in her swing as soon as it's his turn because it puts her to sleep.  I feel like I have to reprimand him...it's crazy.

    Amen. Once he starts crying even for a second he passes him back off to me.

    He had the nerve to say "no offence, but you have the easy job" ...........Hmm

    The worst is when he gets frustrated after she fusses for 2 mins and just wants to give her back to me.  What do you think we do all day and why do you think we need a break??  Ugh they are clueless.

    Mine is trying so hard not to let his pre-baby life change...soccer games, friends over, out during the day on weekends when I could use some "grown up" attention.  Meanwhile I feel like I moved to another planet, the house is in shambles, and I just need support!
