Anyone with low estrogen?

Do any of your have low estrogen? If so, what are your RE's suggesting?

I tried one round of Clomid (and will go in for u/s tomorrow) but she expects it won't work b/c of my low estrogen. If the u/s says that the follicles aren't developing properly, she suggested I move onto injectables. Is this what others have done/are doing?

My baseline estrogen is normal. However, after 7 days of stimming on injectables this month, my estradiol wasn't near where it should be, although I had follices. I responded great to Clomid and due to my progesterone that month after o it looked like I definitely produced good eggs. My RE said it's totally about finding the right combo of meds.

Do you have hypothalamic amenorrhea... are u underweight or low body fat or an overexerciser?

Thats what i have, and they didn't think clomid would work for me either... I came off bcp in feb and no ovulation. I tried clomid last month and it didn't work, they tried it again and i just ovulated two days ago! Im so excited, so i say clomid is worth a try, if not im onto injectibles.

I was on BCP for 8 years and went off in June...didn't get a period until two rounds of prometrium. They don't know why my estrogen is low (not underweight...I wish Smile

). I am so nervous for my u/s tomorrow.

Thats good that the prometrium will work for you, as for me, it doesn't work with me b/c my estrogen is soo low. I feel that gaining some weight/relaxing on the exercise is working for me tho. Good luck at ur ultrasound let us know how u make out!

My estrogen is OK, but my follicles stopped maturing at 10mm with 100mg of Clomid, so we decided today to try again next cycle with injectables.
