Those are our two girl names.
Elena Sarah Anya
Amalia Rosalie
(It could be Elena Rosalie Anya and Amalia Sarah)
We are so happy and it feels great!
I know that these names arent really some people's style. But, it fits us so perfectly. Thanks for all the help that you all gave me! I appreciate it! And these names have a lot of significance and importance to us.
Re: Elena and Amalia
I was just thinking that! I think they are GORGEOUS names, but is there a reason one of them will have 2 mn's and the other only 1?
I didnt even think about Amalia feeling bad that Elena has 1 more MN than her... I guess, we will cross that bridge if we end up having two girls.
The reason why for the MNs is because I really wanted to include Anya in the name because it has a lot of significance to us and I didnt think Elena Anya worked and neither did Amalia Anya. So, we worked out that Elena Sarah Anya worked much better and I got to include Sarah which is for my cousin who happens to be my little sister.
Wait... What?? You lost me there.
Very beautiful names; congrats on deciding!
I am sorry! I am REALLY tired. I barely got a few hours of sleep.
What I meant to say was Sarah is for my little cousin who happens to be LIKE my little sister.
Ah... gotcha.
I was thinking the same thing. As silly as it may seem to you now, mns can be a major cause for jealousy/feeling left out in little kids and even adults.
Case in point: To this day, I believe my mom still feels a bit peeved that her sister's mn is her mom's first name and her brother's mn is her father's first name. Her mn has absolutely no family significance.
If you give one girl two mns, I think you should consider finding a second mn for the other.

Yes, this. My niece feels slighted because all three of her siblings have some sort of significance to either their first or middle names and hers doesn't. Now that she's an adult, she's actually going to legally add on "Elaine" as a second middle name because many women on my mom's side have Elaine for a middle name.
Obviously, I love Amalia (DD's name). It's also chock-full of significance for us. Elena sounds quite lovely with it.
I put "Rosalie" in the compound-name genre, so I wouldn't worry about the two mns v. one. If Amalia ever asks, tell her you think "Rosalie" looks better than "Rosa Lee."
