I was meeting with my rhumetologist and he is convinced I must have my hip replaced with in the next few months

Gee, I've 3 kids and just started back at work. Can we say HORRIBLE timing? Hopefully the surgeon I see in the next few wks will say it isn't as urgent.

I hope the other doc says you can put it off, but aren't you in a lot of pain if needs replacing? I am sorry.
If you do need it I can tell you the recovery isn't too bad. My father had it done when the cancer destroyed his hip. Even in that bad of health he was walking in a few days.
I have rheumatoid arthritis. I've been dealing with this bad hip for years and yes it does hurt but still, when you have had a bad hip for this long you become used to the pain in an odd sort of way. The pregnancies both made this worse and so is lifting my little toddler.
Hopefully we can put this off...
