Toddlers: 12 - 24 Months

Please help me do some pregnancy math!

I am sure some of you have seen me post on here a few times about my period being late but still getting a BFN.  Well I just talked to my midwife and she has me coming in for blood work on Monday but I still don't see how it is possible I might be pregnant, she says that I should stay optomistic.

Last period: October 15

Unprotected Sex: October 26, 29, Nov 2, 14

 Cycle length: Usually 30 days

I have no idea when I ovulated

I am now 6 days late

So does it seems possible when you do that math????

ETA: I am going to test again tomorrow, but I tested yesterday and it was negative.

  • I would take a test.  Don't you ovulate around 14 days after????  Not trying so I'm trying to remember

  • My cycles were usually regular...but my LMP was sept 30th....no unprotected sex until Oct 24 and Oct 26 (dh's never home)...and I got a bfp 14 days after that...anything's possible, GL :)

  • Absolutely. If Oct. 15th was the first day of your last period then you *probably* had sex right around the time of ovulation (Oct. 29 and Nov. 2). Of course, it's impossible to know unless you were charting to know exactly when you ovulated. The "average" woman has a 28 day cycle and ovulates on day 14. So for you I'd guess somewhere between day 14 and 16.

  • Very likely I think...

  • If you ovulated very late, like around the 14th, and conceived that day, you'd only be 6 DPO, so you COULD be pregnant and still get a BFN.  Are you usually very regular?

I agree with this, because this is what I was thinking, but would I have seen a BFP by now??

I have been very regular for most of my life.  I didn't get my PP AF until DS was 8 months, but I was have been very regular since then.

I did spot a little red on the 15th, which I guess could have been implantation bleeding, but that would mean it took 12 days to implant since our last session on Nov 2nd.

As you can see I am freaking out about this, I just hate not knowing.  And then if I am not pregnant, then WTH is wrong with me???

I would think so, but it's not unheard of to get a late bfp. If you aren't pregnant, you could be having an annovulatory cycle.

My SIL had to go in for a blood test to find out for sure that she was pregnant. She kept taking HPT and they were all negative but she was late for her period by over a week.

Good luck and hopefully you'll get whatever answer you want!
