Cute pic. It takes quite a bit of chewing to penetrate the plastic shell, but I wouldn't let her chew them for long. I also would turn them off every 15 secs or so to make sure they aren't too hot.
That is what I figured...she doesn't have an actual bulb in her mouth, just the cord....and it was complete accident (the only pic like it), but I like the lighting. I think I would probably get a bunch of slack for it.

I don't think it's a big deal. It's a cute photo...but I got a lot of slack from a Halloween photo of my DD where it looks like a pumpkin could fall on her. It was nowhere near her...but you know how people are.
nope. i would assume that she was being closely supervised while handling the lights. don't worry about the stupid old biddies judging, use the pic. it's adorable.

So keep it for yourself. I really like the pic!
I agree - keep the pic. I am sure you wouldnt let her sit there just chewing away on it but part of me wouldnt want to hear all the comments I would get on it. It is a cute pic
I like it, and it's different! one of my friends sent out holiday cards with her 1 month old as a "Christmas Ham". They had her on the table with all the fixings and even had a pineapple on her back. That did get the side eye from me, because it was obviously set up like that. But I like yours!
I think it is a great picture and I would totally use it.
1. I assume that you wouldn't allow the chewing/sucking on it to happen for a long period of time,
2. I assume they are indoor/outdoor lights so that the plastic coating is thicker and is not easy to 'chew' through (not that I think LO could accomplish that in a short period of time anyway - even if they did have a few teeth).
Obviously I wouldn't want my child putting that the toxic materials that the lights are made from in their mouths but a few minutes - I doubt that it will harm them anymore than going outside and breathing the polluted air?? lol
Friends of mine did the same thing with their son a few years ago and I didn't think anything of it, plus a ton of people commented on it at our christmas party and no one said anything negative then either. I think we all made the same assumptions mentioned above and figured the mom wouldn't be letting the child gnaw on them for hours on end unsupervised. BTW I love the tutu! It really is a cute picture.
I think its cute!! And it's not like you happened upon her while she was chewing on lights, you know? I would assume she put it in her mouth and you snapped the pic and then took it out of her mouth. People are probably going to realize that. A few years ago, I got a great pic of DD with a christmas light right up her nose. Hilarious!
Re: would you judge me?
I actually think this is an adorable and very unique picture. However, I can totally imagine how many calls you'll get from your disturbed aunts...
Well it seems a little risky...
Make a pregnancy ticker
