Is your baby an attention whore?

Mine is! Whenever we go out shopping now, if I let her sit in the cart instead of her carseat she spends the ENTIRE time trying to get EVERYONE to look at her.. She will make noises, or just stare at someone with her big blue eyes until they talk to her.. This is awkward for me cuz I'm kind of anti social..

And some old man told me that she loves shopping, so I should take her to Kohls.. Eww. I hate Kohls.

Re: Is your baby an attention whore?

  • Yes my girls are attention whores.  Alexis has actually broken out into her tap dance routine in the middle of a store before.  She loves the spotlight.

  • He definitely tries to catch the other person's attention if we walk past someone in an aisle. He'll babble at them and turn on the charmer smile.
  • Evan is a huge flirt. We just got home from the mall, and he was smiling and laughing at anyone who would look his way. The waitress at Fridays would not leave him alone!
  • I wish!  Eva cowers when people look at her and now she has begun yelling at other children in stores.  The other day she told a little girl (probably around 5 years old) to sit down in her cart.  She also shouts that the cart is Eva's, the sippy is Eva's, Mommy is Eva's at any children who look our way.  It's mortifying!   How did my sweet little girl get so bossy?

  • Rosie is the exact opposite.  She's a pretty shy kid, and only will do things like that after she warms up to someone.  I think it's easier to have an outgoing kid- people come up to Rosie all the time and say hi and try and get her to smile, and she usually just glares at them and it makes me feel bad!  Also, since she does that, I get "she looks tired" 90 million times a day.  She's not tired, she's just shy.

  • Oh yeah. Big time. He loves to smile and flirt and talk when we're out. However, if I were to walk away- or that person tried to touch...wooh all he!! would break loose. He's like his mama- give us our personal space =)

This is G exactly, she takes a while to feel comfortable enough in her enviroment and around new faces.

  • Have you met Ethan?  He has to be the center of attention.  My sister says he will be teh little kid running around naked at a party just to make people laugh.  We were in an elevator and this lady didn't even look at him.  He startred whining.  She looked over, he stopped and gave her a huge smile.  He's such a ham.
  • My son? The one who follows you around at work & flirts with every girl wearing a black shirt in the place? An attention whore? Nah!!!

He does pretend to be shy though. He usually needs a few minutes to warm up & then there's no stopping him, lol
