Isn't 3 months a little early to be a heavy wetter?

We use mostly pockets and lately we've had a lot of leak issues. In almost all cases, the insert is completely soaked, so I don't really think it's repelling. But, I'm surprised that at 3 mo. DS is already soaking through a large BG insert overnight and small ones during the day. I've tried double stuffing, but that seems to affect the fit (gaping leg holes). Any suggestions?

I have hemp, but I'm a little leery of using it because I don't really have time to run a separate hemp wash (you have to wash hemp separately even after it's prepped, right?). I also have some GM's and am thinking of playing with their doublers as inserts since the part between the legs is much more contoured. I just sold all of my PFs because I thought they were too bulky anyway.

    Nope.  NBs and little guys are notorious for being pee machines.  At 3 months my kid was a pee factory. Both of them.  It was then that my love of fitteds truly began.

    It's normal for him to be soaking through the small inserts already during the day.  Move up to the bigger one and you may have to mess around with the fit of the BG to get it to work. 

    You don't have to wash hemp seperately once it's prepped, so give that a try at night.  And just check the diapers more often.  About every 1.5 to 2 hours probably.

    totally normal. my lo peed though his blueberry insert about 3 months (2 layers of hemp and one mf). One the hemp is prepped. you can wash them together. At night I stuff with either the bluebery insert plus another hemp OR a bg large insert plus the goodmama insert (i don't use my fitteds at night yet).  but if I didn't have that I would need 2 hemp, 1 mf to contain the pee all night long. But, we don't change him from 7pm-6am at night. during hte day I don't have a problem b/c I change him evey 2-3 hrs and can get away with one mf insert. (i do use my fitted during the day also.)
