Jogger-Infant Carrier VS. Travel System

I am looking into both options.

I want to get a jogger eventually regardless, so I was thinking that it makes more sense to go with the jogger and infant carrier right off the bat. Just curious for some opinions on the matter! Thanks.

I think we'll do this as well.  It seems to fit our needs a little better than a travel system.

  • I'd look into an infant seat with a snap n go frame as an additional option.  I believe they are $60 - $70, which may be worth it compared to the price of a car seat adapter for a jogger plus the hassle of lugging the jogger around for day-to-day stuff.

  • We are getting a phil and ted sport and a carrier/snap and go frame.  The travel system just seems to be really big and bulky and I think the snap and go and the jogger will work well for us.

We're doing this.  I really don't see a point in buying another stroller if you're just going to get the BOB at some point.  The BOB can be used for everyday use but a regular stroller might not be made for jogging.  So what's the harm in getting a jogging stroller instead?  My friend bought a regular stroller and then got the Bob down the road and said she wished she had the BOB from day one.

  • I had a jogger first (3 wheels) and it was just so hard to turn, you had to lift the front end up and put it back down in the direction you wanted to go. I got rid of it and ended up with the travel system and am buying my second one for this baby. I got rid of the other one a while ago. Just my experience.
  • We are planning on getting a Phil & Ted's stroller with infant carrier adapter.  My sister and many of her friends have them and LOVE them.  She tried another jogger first (not sure the brand) but the front wheel didn't swivel which she found cumbersome.  Phil & Ted's front wheel swivels and is really easy to use.  There is also an attachment for later once there are two kids.  Both can ride in the same stroller without making it a double side-by-side or twice as long - very innovative if that may be a need later!  It definitely has long-term potential in my books.

Ditto. I'm not a jogger, but I do spend a lot of time outside walking our pup, so I knew I would need the jogger asap!

So you got a straight up jogging stroller. That's what I love about the BOB Revolution. The wheel can be locked in place for jogging, but it can also be unlocked and used just like a regular stroller.

  • I think I'm going to get a snap and go and a jogger (no car seat adapter). I'm planning on wearing our baby anyway, so I'll only have the snap and go for if the baby's sleeping in the car seat and I really don't want to wake him/her up. Joggers are still pretty clunky, so I don't want to deal with that and a car seat, but I will use it as soon as baby can be in it without the car seat.
