Trying to Get Pregnant

My body hates me!

After having weird periods for two months the dr now say its probably b/c of a hormonal imbalance and he wants to put me on birth control for the next 3 months.  Then say the pill should help me to be more fertile.  Somehow I dont have faith in that b/c I was on the pill before for 2yrs and nothing happen and last time I checked they didnt make a birth control pill to knock you up.

  • Well, I can understand being skeptical.  I have heard of Drs wanting to try this however, my co-worker did this and it worked for her ( I know everyone is different) She just delivered last Monday #2 @ 39! I wish you the best of luck with this!

I can't stand how long you usually have to wait at any Drs office.  Sorry you missed your show Sad

Unless they know which hormones, this really isn't the best solution. And two months of weird periods really isn't that unusual.

Can you get a second opinion?

I didnt even think of going to another dr for a second opinion but I could.

    Why isnt two months unusual?

  • I haven't had a period since Sept.  When I was on CD60, my doc put me on Provera to kick start my periods.  He has never made any mention that there was something wrong.  It is just too early to tell.  When you come off of BCP, your hormones are totally out of whack!  I would talk to him about it again.  I think that is jumping the gun a little!

And yes....how do you get a BFP when you are on BCP!  I thought coming off of them was the right thing to do...go figure!

    GL!
