I have already heard from a few other ladies with Factor V and had some good feedback, however I'm curious about when you guys were started on Lovenox? I am not very far along yet, but I did have my first OB appt today, however they didn't mention starting lovenox at all yet. My next appt with the high risk dr isn't until 12/4. Does this seem consistent with what you guys have experienced.
If you didn't see my prior post, I have never had a clot, was diagnosed a little over a year ago after my brother was hospitalized with clots and I have been on baby aspirin since.
Re: Factor V, when to start lovenox?
I started as soon as I got my BFP (my regular OB put me on it), but I had a previous DVT and PE. I would call and ask in case they just didn't remember or weren't aware. Personally, I would rather start as soon as I can - gives that extra reassurance and I don't really understand why you would need to wait.
I don't actually have any of the genetic clotting disorders but I did have a DVT 2 years ago where 3 veins in my leg were totally occluded and part of the clot broke off but thankfully did not make it to the lungs or anything.
I started Lovenox after our viability u/s around 8 weeks.
