DS has shingles

DS is 20 months old and has shingles! Even the doctor says this is rare because it is from a dormant chicken pox virus.  The little guy is in so much pain and his little leg and bottom is covered! I feel so bad for him.  Hope he recovers soon. There's only so much Tylenol can do for the pain!

    O no :(( What a sin! My mom had that and said it was worse than childbirth. I will pray for him tonight. I feel so bad for him :( Hope he gets better ASAP. Lots of hugs and icecream for him I think!!

    poor baby...i hear it is very painful.  i hope he feels better soon ;)  i will say a prayer for him...spoil him rotten and just try to make him as comfortable as possible

    Poor thing - I thought only old people got those? My 90 y/o grandma had them last year around this time and she was pi$$ed because it ruined her Thanksgiving.

    I hope he gets well soon. Can you give him an oatmeal bath to help sooth him?

    Is it possible to have shingles without having chicken pox?  Or did he have chicken pox really young?  I had shingles at 28 and even that is young.  It started going away as soon as I was on meds.  Poor kid.
