Question about LO's routine at night

I have been a SAHM since Justin was born.  I kept a part time status at my old job so if i wanted to go back occasionally i could.  So fast forward i have had DH coming home this week a little early so i could go in for a few hours from like 5-7.  This is the time of night when we have dinner and bath him and put him to bed at 7pm.

My question which is more the problem.  I have pretty much always put Justin to sleep at night its been our thing.  Its not that DH hasnt wanted to i just did it.  SO.... Monday night he puked from crying when DH tried to put him to sleep he did finally fall asleep after 1 hour lying on DHs shoulder.  2nd night didnt puke but was very very upset took about 45 min.  and tonite my DH couldnt put him down for 2 1/2 hours because the kid had a heart attack.  I came home to find him passed out on DHs shoulder and them standing in the living room.

He even waved goodbye and said i love you mommy.  WTF.  Why would it be getting harder instead of easier for my DH and LO for bedtime?  Any advice????

Re: Question about LO's routine at night

  • Hm, this is tough. But I am thinking he's going to have to almost do Ferber. Sounds like that may not be working too well though!

A couple posts down a lady asked something sort of similar, you may want to check that out.
