u/s at 6 wks 1 day

I am scheduled to go in for a u/s tomorrow and will be 6 wk 1 day. I was also told to drink 32oz of water an hour before, so I am guessing they are going to do an abdominal u/s...can you even see anything that early? It is suppose to be a viability u/s so wouldn't they want to see a hb? Good lord I hope I see an hb...now I am stressed =(

I had a f/u u/s at 6w4d. They saw the HB at that time. If you are totally sure about your date, then you will probably get to see the HB. If you are off by even 2 days, it might be too early. GL and I hope everything goes well.

They'll do an external, then have you pee and do the dildocam.

I went in today and thought I was around 6w6d, turns out I was only 6w3d...but they did it externally and found everything including the heartbeat super fast.

I would go with the internal if possible, you can usually see more.

Thanks guys. I pulled my chart and double checked that I for sure o'd on day 14. I am usually 28 days on the dot. I am hoping for an internal as well, I was atcually pretty shocked about the abdominal so early. I will ask for it, if they do not see anything with an abdominal FOR SURE! The Dr said a few wks, but when I was making my next appt and they called to scheudle they asked if I could come tomorrow! Well hello who is going to say no? I asked the girl if they would be able to see a hb at 6 wks and she double checked with the hospital, I want to say usually it is closer to 7 but I am going to stay really positive. I have been more and more nauseas and have blood work done tomorrow as well so I gueess we will see. Just glad some others saw it so early.

Have you been back? I know, I thought 6 wks was good and then got back home and now am kicking myself that i didn't wait a week and a half so my mom could come with me anyway! But when they say you can come tomorrow of course I was immediatly on board...guess I don't have long to wait though!

I had an u/s yesterday at 6w1d and saw a gestational sac and yolk sac. Did not see a fetal pole or heartbeat. Before she started the u/s she told me that we may not see the heartbeat and not to panic. One or two days can make the difference. I even told her I know when I O'd because of charting and she said I still could be a few days behind and that is normal. She said I was measuring between 5w5d and 5w6d. I go for a followup u/s on Tuesday. Don't panic if you don't see a h/b.

Thanks ladies, I think now I am just agrivated with myself for getting excited in the office and not waiting. I am sure thinsg will be fine, and I am still excited they should be able to see something so we will see, hopefully they won't make me wait too longif there isn't a HB and I will see one with in a wk or so

only a Gestational sac...not sure what that means. I called th dr and she said to call the office on monday. They will start blood work ever few days and check levels and so on and so forth, and re-schedule on ultrasounds. Hopefully I am just off somehow.
