Period After D&C

Hi all....I had a D&C about 6 weeks ago and finally got my period-however I am bleeding so much and my cramps are intense. Has anyone else experienced this? This is so stressful for me and upsetting....argh....

    I've been bleeding like a stuffed pig!!!  But, I was also put on baby aspirin after D&E for bleeding disorder.  Mine has been crazy too...one day seems like it is getting lighter and browner, then the next day it's bright red again.  Today is day 6 of AF and bright red.

    I'm so sorry it's upsetting to you.  I had a break down in the bathroom too...it's ok...cry all you want honey...we aren't supposed to getting AF yet!!!

    1st pregnancy: BFP- 6/28/09 - Found out we lost our little girl on 10/9/09 at 19w 4d - D&E- 10/14/09

    June 2010, corrective surgery for Septate Uterus and large fibroids

    2nd pregnancy: BFP- 10/18/10 - Slow rising, non-doubling HCGs, no heart beat. Non-viable pregnancy, D&C- 11/12/10

    Started Metformin 6/30/11, Started Clomid 7/20/11 - Unsuccessful

    HSG and Laparoscopic surgery revealed blocked tubes and lots of scar tissue...IVF here we come!!!

    Surprise BFP naturally!!! IT'S A BOY!!!

    I am so glad I am not the only one! I feel like crap and I can't even workout.....it makes it worse! Good to know the breakdowns in the bathroom are acceptable as well...since that has happened to me...

    I have heard that it is healthy and will increase chances of getting pregnant.  I just had DC 1 week ago and i have not had a spot of red just this gross brown drainage.  I hope it doesn't take 6 weeks but i am sure it will.  I am 36 and been TTC for a year so getting preg again isn't something i want to wait around on,,,,,just got BFP then MC and DC  this sucks.  I bet after this heavy one you will be back to normal hang in there

    I am so sorry you have to deal with this. My first AF after my D&C in May was just like this, so I think this is normal. It just sucks, but I am glad your cycle has started so you can at least feel like your body is starting to get back on track.

    My doctor said the first one after the D&C would be really "weird".  He couldn't tell me exactly how it was going to be "weird", but he was right.  He said the ones after that should be a lot more normal.

    After my D&C, I had a very heavy period that lasted a lot longer than my regular period (it came about 5 weeks after my D&C). The next month I regulated and returned to my normal period. It gets easier. I promise.

    The first period after my D&C was the heaviest EVER.  I was a little freaked.  But I was thrilled to get AF as it took 3 months.  I took lots of vitamins and drank lots of water because I was actually concerned about the loss of blood.
