Prizes??

What kind of prizes (if any) are you giving away at your shower for people who win the games? We were thinking of doing:

A Bath and Body gift baskey

A Yankee Candle gift basket

Chocolate tiers (truffles made by my father who is a chef)

Gift certificates from my parents restaurant

what do you think??

    They sound great, but I have never been to a shower where baskets full of stuff were given as prizes.  Usually it was one or two small things.  A tea mug with tea.  Body lotion.  A single candle.  For my bridal shower my bridesmaids donated lots of gifts they had received (and planned to regift).  That was fine with me. 

    I am never really concerned with a prize I might receive at a shower.  I am just there for the person to help them celebrate. 

    I guess ultimately it all depends on your budget or those that are throwing the showers budget.  Obviously the gift certificates from your parents restaurant wouldn't cost anything.

    Well by gift basket I mean like a small basket with a few lotions or body washes in it and for the Yankee Candle ones a big candle and a small one. We are traveling to Virginia for Thanksgiving and they have an amazing outlet mall and that is where I think we will get the majority of the things. My MIL is all about things like this lol :)

    The chocolate truffles sound great to me!  Also the gift certificate to your parent's restaurant would be great for a door prize.  I would not spend a lot on each prize.  I'd say we spent about $5...but we gave lottery tickets.  People loved them.  One of my cousins won $250!  keep in mind that you might have ties in the games.

    I think they sound perfect.  I got a Bath and Body gift basket at a bridal shower once and was psyched!

    Thanks for all of your input! We are going to do a few lotions and body washes in each Bath and Body basket! A big candle and small one in the Yankee Candle baskets!
