Hysterical when I change her clothes

I'm not talking about a little bit of a fussing, rather she gets all out positively hysterical when I change her clothes. Anything going on or off over her head gets her so fired up she screams her head off, tears streaming down her face and she practically chokes herself she is THAT upset. I've tried making clothing changes fun with peek-a-boo and toys, tried picking her up and soothing/calming her halfway through and nothing works.

It kind of scares me she freaks out so badly. Anyone else's LO have such a strong reaction to this or anything else? Any tips?

  • Same. He HATES it.  I just go as quickly as possible.  Once I get the onesie over his head, I pick him up and snuggle him.  When he calms down, I put him back on the changing table to finish dressing him.

  • My DD does that too, and then as soon as you snap the last snap, she goes quiet instantly. It is the strangest thing. She hates being undressed! DH said that he hopes she stays that way until she's 30 :) I just give her a paci and that helps sometimes, but not always.

  • DD does this at every diaper change!  I try to change her during a feeding to keep her calm.

  • My guy does this too, any time an arm is put in or out of a sleeve or something goes over his head, it's over.

I try to sing to him but sometimes he is crying so hard it's silent.

  • Diaper change or clothes change - she cries or sometime totally explodes.

My best friend has dubbed her "velociraptor" due to the screams she emits during an outfit change.

    LOL!

  • My DD does that too. I don't think she likes being cold. I try singing to her and talking to her. Sometimes it works, sometimes I just have to do it super quick and cuddle her after.
  • same. except hes like this with diaper changes, baths and clothing changes. I think hes afraid of being naked or something.

    sigh.
