My DH's family draws names and you just buy for that one person. The amount this year is 150 and I dont know what I want. It can be one gift or many little gifts. Just wondering what other people wanted.
My one and only wish this year is to have our main bathroom re-done! We have dropped hints with our family that Home Depot GC's are a great idea!!
Our house is an older home and the house has almost all been updated in teh last 2-3 years except for our bathroom. I'm talking purple ceramic tub, toilet and sink! Oh yeah! There was purple shag carpet before we bought it (30 yr old shag in a bathroom *shudder*) but the old owners replaced it with tile!

I asked for a new bedspread which I think DH will be getting for me/us. For the rest of the family, we drew names as well and his sister and her husband are buying for me and DH. We've asked for movie and dinner gift certificates because we haven't been going out as much lately as we'd like to.
Personally, a DSLR camera, but that wouldn't cover it. Do you have a little video camera? That might be fun for when LO comes. I also like when people cover the cost of my yoga classes, but DH usually does that for me as a gift.

We just started thinking about how we would like to redo our main bathroom so gift cards to Home Depot would be great! Thanks for the idea! Also I feel your pain with renovating and older home - we replaced poop brown carpet that was original to the house...which was built in 1973!!! GROSS!
DH & I would also love a video camera so we can make family videos.

I am curious what SAHM do for their DHs. I had to leave my job due to bed rest and feel funny purchasing a gift for DH with his own money. He reminds me all the time that it is our money but as I am not yet a SAHM I feel like a free loader.
I want a really nice purse and also a gift certificates for maternity clothes. and maybe diamond earrings.
I think SAHM ( I will be one once the baby comes) should buy stuff that their husband needs and wants. For example, I am getting my husband a new laptop. We need one because ours is old and he has been dropping hints for a while.
DH is remodeling our master bathroom! YAY!!!! So I dont' really have any wishes for gifts from him. I've spoken to my parents about getting a gun safe for us. We have a nice collection and have them all in DH's closet. Even though LO won't be able to handle one for a while... I would like them locked away safely. *Fingers crossed*
DH's dad's side does the same thing except our limit is only $50. I wanted some Pampered Chef and when I check today 6 of the items on my registry were purchased. YAY!!

I'm hoping for non baby things.. though according to DH my MIL has decided that i'm only getting baby things... while yes, handy, it makes me feel like an incubator and i dont really count. Awesome hormones for you!
But a massage or a hair appt (cut and color) kinda thing would rock!
an ulta cosmetics kit (got one last year & loved it), patriot candles (walgreens sells them & they smell just like yankee), a maternity coat from old navy, wine for my wine fridge for when I'm not pregnant, photo albums, a gift card for kohls so I can do some non-maternity shopping after baby #2 is born. My MIL informed me that she does not do gift cards & doesn't buy what people wants but what she thinks they will like instead. OK...this should be interesting this year. I got a huge green butterfly necklace last year & clip on earrings. She just knows me so well LOL. GL w/ your xmas gifts!

I've thought up a few household things I'd like, such as a crockpot, a bedspread, etc. Maybe some necklaces.
My big wish though is for a crib. I REALLY want a nice piece of furniture that will last through all my children and even my grandchildren when they visit. DH's parents usually spend a lot of money on us (well, a lot of money to me - it might not be a lot of money to them), so I'm hoping that they will offer.

Luckily, I just stopped working last month so I've got just enough left in my own personal account to pay for DH's Christmas gift myself this year! We are beer lovers and he's been talking about home-brewing for a long time, so I'm buying him a deluxe starter kit & everything he'll need to start brewing his own! I'm so excited -- this will be the biggest/best gift I've bought him yet!
As for later holidays, starting in 2010 we are going to start putting a certain amount from each of his paychecks into my own personal account.. It'll technically still be "his" money that he earned, but it'll be mine to spend as I choose on any personal stuff I need/want, so I can save that way for his birthday, anniversary, & Christmas gifts. Yippee!
I actually asked for things for the baby after the registery. My birthday is exactly a month before Christmas so I am asking for personal stuff then. We're trying to declutter our house so they less we get for ourselves the better.

We ask'd for baby stuff. We're so overwhelmed with all of the things we need, so every little bit helps.

The only non-baby related thing I want is a printer/scanner for our home office. Lame!
#1 on my list is a house. We are working on this so hopefully it will happen before the new year.
#2 a Coach purse
I want my diaper bag and things for the baby.

I'd like a really nice diaper bag
New coffee maker (programmable)
I have a few cds and books on my amazon list. Nothing in particular though.

My two front teeth...kidding...
My list is longer than it's been in previous years. What I really want is a camera, but it's too expensive
