NBR: anyone else not at all interested in New Moon?

I haven't read the Twighlight books, didn't see the movie, and have no idea about the storyline, characters, etc. It's all everyone is talking about today!

Anyone else clueless like me? LOL

    Blissfully clueless!! My students were watching it during a rec break and I saw one hook up scene.  I have to say that I really can't stomach watching young teens make out since I've become a teacher. It kinds gives me the heebie jeebies.

    You mean Twatlight!? lol I have no interested at all. I was going to read the books when it first became popular but I saw on amazon it said the reading level was 6th grade or something around those lines I was confused and thought it wasnt for adults and vetoed the idea.

    No offense to those who do like it.

    I myself LOVE True Blood and the novels that go along with it. Smile

    There are actually a few on here. Im not one of them, but because DH refuses to take me, Im trying not to get too excited about tonight. The Twihards are out like crazy today!

    My DH rented the movie not too long about, I think mostly just due to the buzz. As soon as he showed it to me, I burst out laughing! He had no idea that it was a teenage chick flick! I asked him if he had even read the back and he admitted no, he hadn't. The first line on the back is something like, "The most romantic movie since Titantic".

    I tease him about it to this day.

    Honestly, I don't really get it either. I know all of my 16 year-old brother's girl friends are crazy into it...I always thought it was a teenage-y fad. But you're right, it seems like a lot of women are into it too.

    tried to watch and love the first movie and lasted about an hour..  i didn't get it, like it and wasn't entertained by it.. 

    more power to those who <3 it, but it is NOT for me

    I've read the books and think they're pretty good (at least the first three) but not really getting into the movie craze.   I think all the hype is silly and am already sick of hearing about it.

    i've read all of the books (they really were fantastic) but i'm not diggen' the movies.

    i'll probably go see new moon... but i'm not gunna go until the hysteria has died down.

    LOVE LOVE LOVE True blood - that's an adult vampire show / book series I can really sink my teeth into!  LOL  Have you heard of the Anita Blake series of books?

    ME! I like other vampire books/movies like..interview with a vampire, blade,underworld, queen of the damned, I am even hooked on the TV series Vampire diaries...but never seen twilight and I don't really have a want to. It seems very teeny bopper..and i hear the vampires in that movie sparkle in the sun? WTF is that? sunshine and rainbow vamps? No...they're supposed to burn and die in the sun!! Just takes all the fun out of it.

    My stepmom and a friend are both Twilight fans...they both badgered me into reading all 4 books.  The books were okay...somewhat entertaining, but not really my thing.  Now I feel like I've had enough Twilight for a lifetime! Plus, the movie previews looked pretty cheesy and that turned me off.  So, no, not interested in ever seeing the movies.

    Add me to the list of people who just don't care.  I did hear about some premiere or something where they were handing out goodies and one girl had to go to the hospital with a broken bone (I think her shoulder) due to getting into a fight with another girl over a poster.  The poster ended up getting ripped.   I hope it was worth it.  Crazy vampire people.

    I don't consider myself someone who is completely clueless to stuff in pop culture....but when the popularity of something is super huge before I even really hear about it, I completely shun.  maybe I miss out on something good, maybe not.  but I hate to ever think of myself as a bandwagon jumper, so no twilight for me

    As a high school teacher, it's all I heard about last school year.  This year, the hysteria has calmed a little.  However, I'm not into vampires/werewolves/other supernatural things, so I wouldn't be interested anyway.  Pride and Prejudice is more my speed--love Mr. Darcy!

    Sheesh, that's nuts! well...I'll be the first to admit that I love twilight. I will, however, be the first to also admit that the first movie was aweful! I love the books and I think that's what attracts most people over the age of 18 to the movies. I'm not all nutty about it but I do have tickets for New Moon tomorrow. I'm excited and am hoping that it'll be better than the 1st..I don't know that it could get much worse Big Smile

    DH actually conned me into watching the first movie and I about peed on myself when I saw that guy thing standing there, glittering in full glory. Before I had seen that, I was just too HP rules, Twilight drools. But that changed me...in ways I never want to be changed again. I can't stand Twilight and I hate that this author goes and changes everything about vampires that was, essentially, what vampires are! The Twilight'ers don't bother me because I remember being that crazy over Tom Riddle, but the books/movies annoy me.

    I read the books and found them ok (I am a teacher and wanted to know what my students were reading). My best friend LOVES the books and the movies and dragged me along to the last movie. Even if this movie is a 100% improvement on the last it will still suck.

    I wish I were blissfully unaware but alas I am not.

    I used to be one of those girls until I read the books.  They are amazing!!!  You won't be able to put them down.  The first movie did not give the books justice and we will see about the second.  I know your not into it, but read the first one just to give it a try.  You will get sucked in like the rest of us.
