Benedryl, Sudafed, Tylenol... that's all I've heard is ok to take. Saltwater nasal rinse and gargle can help too. If you're really stuffy put a pot of water on the stove to boil, I was amazed at how much it helped me.
Before my sinus infection got out of control and nothing worked and I had to be put on antibiotics, I was using a saline nasal wash and taking a half dose of plain old Sudafed before bed.
Thanks everyone- DOc finally called back and everything you all suggested was correct.... see who needs to call the doc.... :-) sudafed it will be since it's not in my chest just yet for Robitussin... TY!!!!
Re: what can i take- getting sick
Call your OB to be sure, but mine said:
-Regular tylenol (NO tylenol cold)
-Regular Robitussin
-Saline nose spray
-Cough drops
Needless to say, these will do little to treat your symptoms. Good luck and feel better!
My approved meds list has robitussin for coughs (I'm assuming the plain stuff).
For congestion:
Afrin Saline mist for nasal congestions (3 days only)
Normal saline nose drops/nasal spray
Sudafed, if you do not have high blood pressure
Actifed
For sore throat:
Cepacol lozenges or gargle
Halls lozenges
