  • Yup I have the same problem.. he broke a pair of sunglasses, and I need to get my regular glasses tightened.  I notice he goes through spurts with pulling them off.  Now he will pull them off and try to put them back on.

No clue how to discipline for this... he thinks it's funny.

  • I wear reading glasses, and DS does the same to me.?
So-- when he tries it, I firmly tell him no and hold his hands.?
This is the only thing that works.
  • Yep...DD is obsessed with my glasses.  She is really quick too so gets them on occasion when my defenses are down.  I tell her "No" and take them back (which often involves tears) and try not to react otherwise.  She has a couple pairs of sunglasses of her own and lately she has taken to those and has been slightly less interested in my glasses.
  • He'll do it every once in a while, although he tried more often when he was younger. I typically stop his hand, firmly tell him no (sometimes I get crying, sometimes he's OK), and try to distract him with something else. I think he's learned now that he can't play with them.
  • I tell him "NO" and try to catch his hand before he gets to the glasses.  I've had to quit wearing my "good" ones (new Rx) and wear my old pair around him just in case.

Pretty much this. Now he mostly just points to them and I will take them off. He then gets this big grin on his face and will bring his face really close to mine. I love it when he does that!

  • DH tells him no and puts him off his lap.  He often walks away too to reinforce the severity of the offense.

I'd love to tell you it's working but he still does it from time to time.

Those bad boys are EXPENSIVE!  It's really really not funny.

Our IF journey: 1 m/c, 1 IVF with only 3 eggs retrieved yielding Dylan and a lost twin, 1 shocker unmedicated BFP resulting in Jace, 3 more unmedicated pregnancies ending in more losses.
Total score: 6 pregnancies, 5 losses, 2 amazing blessings that I'm thankful for every single day.
