We got off from the Friday before Christmas until the Monday after New Years, however that happened to work out. Sometimes it was almost 2 weeks paid vacay.
From Memorial Day to Labor Day we had half-day Fridays. Also paid. Our bosses wanted to golf during the summer and didn't think the rest of us should be stuck at work either.
Full liquor cabinet in the office that would occassionally get broken out during Monday afternoon staff meetings.
Company retreats at a golf resort on Chesapeake Bay, all expenses paid. And you could bring your SO.
If they thought we'd been working particularly hard, they'd sometimes call for an impromptu 3-day weekend.
Any wonder that they went out of business???? I would have worked there forever if they hadn't.
Re: Man I miss my old job
They executive produced and distributed documentaries. It was a fabulous job. You could actually watch your work on TV at night! lol They were in business for 25 years and it really wasn't their fault that they had to close. But boy did they spread the money around!
My immediate boss was an attorney and my mentor. She wrote my law schooll recommendation and all.
