What to do with old bottles?

I'm about to move to the larger size bottle for Noah aka the little piglet.  What did you do with your old bottles when you were done with them?  We're not planning on having any more kids so I won't need to keep them like I did before.  Donate them w/o the used nipple?  Throw them away?

  • I gave mine to my sister and my sil, who are both having babies soon.

  • I sold a bunch of bottles at a consignment sale last time. I had a bunch in different brands that people have given us. We found the ones that worked best for us so I didn't need them all. I put them in sets of 2 or 3 in a ziplock with everything except the nipple (because we weren't given the nipple).  I also had a huge set of Avent bottles with all different size nipples that I sold all together.  I split it into 2 sets, nipples and all, and sold them both.  I made good money from those.  Some people don't mind sterilizing them and using used nipples.  I didn't get much for the cheaper brands but still better than just throwing away.  I'd at least donate them like you said.

  • there's a baby store behind mcdonald's/bp at trickum and 92 that sells items like this.  They take donations (tax deductible i believe) and sell them at low prices and also give underpriveleged people the opportunity to work for free items.  Maybe donate somewhere like that?
  • you could always recycle them

  • I donated a bunch to our church.  I'm sure there are some less fortunate moms who would be very appreciative to have them.
