I don't think DH is getting one AGAIN this year. I don't know why not. Companies (including his) are doing much better and the stock market is up a lot from where it was last year. I know EVERY company isn't doing well, but I'm just curious. Are the companies ya'll work for doing bonus this year? Did they do them last year?
Re: Are you getting a Christmas bonus?
Ha! I'm looking at two years in a row of a raise freeze and no end of the year bonus.
My company does not do Christmas bonuses. DH's family business used to but has scaled back significantly on them. When they bought the business 5 years ago, the former owner gave everyone one weeks' pay. They have cut that back to 1/2 week and wish they could get rid of the bonus all together. Yes, the economy is doing better than last year, but it is no where near what it was. Companies are still suffering and recouping their losses from the down turn.
It's a one year membership in the jelly of the month club.
